Hosted this year by Dwayne Johnson, Nickelodeon handed out its orange blimps live from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion. Kids voted for their favorites using the network’s mobile website in 18 different categories. This year a record-breaking 90 million votes were casted. Here are some of the winners:
MOVIE FAVORITES:
1. Movie: High School Musical 3 - Senior Year (seriously??????????)
2. Animated Movie: Madagascar - Escape 2 Africa (now we are talking!)
3. Movie Actress: Vanessa Hudgens (in, of course, High School Musical)
4. Movie Actor: Will Smith (Hancock) - Will Smith continues to be a top favorite in kids and teens
5. Voice in Animated Movie: Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda) - If you haven’t seen this move, DO SO NOW!
MUSIC FAVORITES:
1. Music Group: The Jonas Brothers
2. Female Singer: Miley Cyrus (yes for you adults, this is Hannah Montana)
3. Male Singer: Jesse McCartney
TV FAVORITES:
1. TV Show: iCarly (I have no idea what this is, but you bet I will find out)
2. TV Actress: Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place)
3. TV Actor: Dylan Sprouse (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody)
4. Cartoon: SpongeBob SquarePants (no big surprise here, but I bet this is also top pick among adults)
