Adults fancy toys, too.

Did you know that 1/4 (24%) of toy and game purchases are intended for adult use? These users are mosl likely males ages 18-24 and work in arts, entertainment, or recreation-related fields. They are also more likely than those who do not buy toys to live rent free, which translates into more disposable income to buy toys and games (and other stuff, I am sure).

Children under 12 years of age are the main intended recipient for toys and games (64%) while teens ages 12-17 are only 9% of the whole.

There are some studies that were aimed at kids that showed that only 33% of kids like to collect toys. While this goes completely against what we believe in and push for (kids to collect toys in restaurants and come back to get the whole set) it may stand true to some extent. However, it is also a fact that if a kid returns to the restaurant the same week, he is not going to be very pleased getting the very same toy he got a few days ago.

While he/she might not have taken it home and wished to collect the wholet set, he/she certainly would not like to get the same item again…just a few days after the original purchase; hence offering toys as a set or in a variety of choices is always a good option to incorporate onto a kids meal offering.
